We had a family reunion in Western NY last weekend. In the car coming back we had stocked up on Cuba Extra Sharp White Cheddar (Cuba, NY). (And Weber’s mustard and Angelica salt-rising bread.) Happy... happy... happy.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the average American consumes 35 pounds of cheese a year.If I were to examine my grocery receipts for a year, I might well find that it is true. And that's not counting the cheeseburgers when we are "out."
