We are swimming in delicious tomatoes. Cold lunch - sliced fresh mozzarella topped with a slice of tomato, chiffonaded (is that a word?) fresh picked basil, salt, pepper and a generous slash of Ken’s Northern Italian dressing.

Wabout the friendly foods of childhood.
Too many tomatoes is such a great problem to have. We've been eating a lot of BLTs lately.

Mmmm, fresh tomatoes! When I ate bread, I’d love a cold sliced cheese sandwich with mayo and big slices of still warm home grown tomato, and sprinkled with salt and red pepper flakes, on good sourdough. I can still taste that goodness.

I live for fresh mozzarella and basil, which I usually just dress with a splash of olive oil and some salt.
I start craving FRESH basil with clockwork regularity halfway through February. Pesto is usually enough to squeeze me through until the real stuff starts growing, but nothing can replace real live tomatoes.
