Most elected Republicans DESPISE Trump, because, among other things, he’s holding them to their platform.

However, Trump will only be impeached when enough elected Republicans believe that they can throw him out of office, and then survive their next election. Right now, I’m not sure that a single Republican in either chamber believes that. That day can still come, but it will take an event beyond their control, such as Trump turning left (such as supporting ‘Comprehensive Immigration Reform’)...at which point we won’t care if he’s removed.

Short of that, and there are no clues that day is coming, we will have his back and the elected Republicans understand that there would be hell to pay if they try to remove him - which is why they have not to date, and will not.

Maybe, but “the base” refuses to vote “D”, thus what power does the base really have? I'm taking the view that more events will be manufactured to create a negative drumbeat about the Administration. Or a confrontation with NK which the Republicans can jawbone about the bad choice Trump made, etc. The tempo will increase, the riots, the chattering, etc. One thing the Nihilists like Obama/Jarrett, Clintons, Soros are particularly good at is orchestrating destruction. The cowardly Reps just need to let it happen while thwarting Trump's tax cuts, and voila, rumbling for impeachment, then “for the good of the country” resignation. Like Watergate. It's stomach turning, but we're a great nation in decline. See my tagline, until schools return to teaching vs. brainwashing, I don't think the barbarians and nihilists can be turned back over the next decade.
