Anyone who didn’t see this one coming just wasn’t looking. In our country’s recent history we’ve celebrated diversity in our population as if it were a good thing. However, one look at world history will show you that no country with a diverse population of different races, languages, and religion has long survived.
Countries don’t naturally form with a diverse population, and when in the past they’ve occurred it’s usually been as a result of armed conquest. These unnaturally formed countries have either melded together into a single population made up of one mixed race with one language and one religion or they’ve come apart, and they’ve usually come apart with extreme violence. The longer these diverse populations were forced to coexist with one another without mixing and becoming one, the more the hatred grew among them and the more violently they broke apart, but break apart they did, or genocide has settled the issue once and for all.
Well that is what has been happening. The battle for the hearts & minds are, and have been, waged with lies that racism still exists in large numbers, by those in control of the MSM, than are the reality. While I have no delusion that racism has been completely eliminated, it certainly is no where even close to the problem it was in the past. But that fight is really about destroying this country, and has little to do with racism at all.
That is correct. Yugoslavia is an excellent example of a continuous powder keg. Rome also.
Propaganda seems to work quite well at changing hearts and minds. And who controls the propaganda organs today?

I said right there that many evil groups are stirring divisions. Harmony comes from hearts changing from individuals seeking peace with his fellow neighbor. You didn’t even read it
Hearts and minds are not going to change. We are in a cultural war for the soul of our country. Somebody has to win and somebody has to lose. Just pray its the progressives who lose. Civil war is likely coming. Its violent. The arch angels of God are not gentle creatures that are not loosed to change hearts and minds. Everything can’t always be peaceful.

Sure I did. However, the division that now exists in this country makes what you said a moot point. That’s because people are lying in the race to win the hearts. Until an honest press is restored to this nation it is a pipe dream. The chances of that happening are becoming quite obviously, extremely slim if not out-an-out impossible. I do not see a happy ending here, even though I steadfastly pray that there is. Not because I have lost faith in the power of prayer, but that the majority of Americans have lost faith completely and have turned to the alter of secularism.

Exactly. And not so much destroying the country, but rather specifically destroying the self-governing aspect of the country.
The American Dream of a truly free and self-governing people rests not only in the government structure (three seperate branches of government, the constitution, the electoral process) but also in the non-government institutions - freedom of religion, and free enterprise.
While the founders intended for those values to shape the government and not the other way around, it hasn’t always turned out that way.
Tyrants and tyrant wannabe’s hate our overriding sense of individual freedom - it undercuts all of their justifications for the authoritarian government they wish to impose and control.
The way they attack the Republic is to attack the very concept of individual freedom that is its foundation. The way they do that is to discredit it by pointing to its supposed failures.
Their argument is always the same - it’s the Marxist argument that says individuals are selfish and evil when left in freedom to govern themselves. The strong take from the weak and there is inequality. The weak get weaker and the strong amass more power. Unrestrained, individuals will plunder the very planet until its resources are exhausted, all manner of species are extinct and the atmosphere is contaminated.
What better way is there to demonstrate this than to point to wealth inequality, and better yet, to ascribe a motive even more sinister than greed, namely racial contempt?
Is it not true that wealth inequality exists, and that there are racial correlations? Is it not true that people are proud of their heritage? Is it not true that men are part of nature and naturally will fight and compete for their families’ survival?
The part that’s a lie is that an authoritarian government would somehow be more enlightened, more selfless, more restrained. There is nothing in history that bears that out - the opposite is true: power corrupts.
Yes, we’re imperfect, but as self-governing individuals we will fare far better than as subjects of an oversized central government.
If Trump tries to drain the swamp (shrink the government) and deregulate (return the power to the individual) the deep state (the swamp) will fight back - with charges of racism, climate change denial, white privilege - it should come as no surprise - it’s what they do - it’s right out of the Marxist playbook.
Isn’t that the same as destroying the country? In my mind it is. I wouldn’t be surprised if or when successful, they even rename the country.
Yeah, I see your point - the part I love about the country is destroyed anyway.
I just mean they aren’t out to destroy it per se, they want to keep it running with them in power and us as surfs.
In the immortal words of Ann Landers, "Wake up and smell the coffee! There is no fixing anything. In the large we have two cultures that are fundamentally incompatible. It will never change. Not today, tomorrow, or 100 years from now. This should be patently obvious over 150 years after then end of the War Between The States.
