Crossman 113
10 Aug 2017

Can you use a regular CO2 canister to charge a Crossman model 113? The online manual shows an odd CO2 canister with a handle on the end to open it. Supposedly, you twist the canister onto the end of the tube, open the charging handle, and allow the pressure to equalize. Will a standard CO2 canister work on this?

I have one of those a long time ago said you had to take it to a compressed gas places to get it refilled. I know,
now.

That's a bulk fill gun. Hunt around on the vintage airgun forums and I'm sure you'll find someone who has cooked up a modernized way of filling it. Using the 12-gram cartridges might not be the easiest way to go - more likely a paintball tank filler system.

I have my granddad's old pneumatic Crosman 101 and my dad's later CO2 model 160 - the 113 is midway between the two designs.

CO2 cartidges would not fit, but some outboard tank might, if you really want to ressurect the rifle.

I only use CO2 cartridge pistols these days, go with pre-charged rifle.
