umm........no.

I would hardly call Scientology a religious organization, no matter what they claim, just a bunch of nutballs. And who said anything about giving the government broader powers. Sounds to me there is evidence of wide spread child abuse. What more power would they need?

Yes, but you know as well as I that the law would treat them the same. A law passed to go after Scientology today will be turned against Catholics, Baptists and Evangelicals the next time an Obozo gets elected POTUS.
