Tattoos make no sense to me. The only tattoo cases that make sense are those due to ancient tradition. (I now need a animated gif of Tevye singing “Tradition!”!) I had a friend who was a follow engineer from work as well as a martial arts pal who had lots of tattoos but tattoos with meaning due to “Tradition!” (Need Tevye again!) You see ethnically he was Polynesian. He had a tattoo of his family totem & family symbol, clan symbol tattoo & totem and then his tribal one plus totem. I asked him isn’t this tattoo stuff a little silly in the modern age. His answer “TRADITION!”(Again need the dancing Tevye gif!) We used to tell people at tournaments he ways our dojo’s cannibal ! He would do family/clan/tribal Haka to make the point! Some people believed us! Good times then! You couldn’t do that now, too many humorless people!
I see, tattoos are wrong unless you approve. Let us know what else needs your stamp of approval. It seems we’ve been doing it wrong all this time without your insight. Finally - whew!
