Years ago, while touring a manufacturing plant - they made TV’s, I saw the assembly line consisted of 95% women.
I ask our tour guide (owner of company), if the reason was that women usually had smaller hands and were therefore more agile in wiring up the TV’s ..??
He said, “Exactly”. The spaces for the connections are small, therefore, smaller hands were the only solution.
So, I agree the reason there are all women or all men can usually be something more physically basic than gender.
