If the population from which the jury pool will be taken voted against Trump 96% to 4% you can figure it out. I believe the defense has a limited number of strikes to dismiss jurors.
In a normal trial, the defense can request a change of venue. Not sure about a grand jury.
As far as I know there is no “defense” in grand jury proceedings.
Try asking for a change of venue in a kangaroo court. Kinda defeats the point of having a show trial.
Grand jury does not try the case. They only indict and every prosecutor in the US gets their indictment if they bring something before a grand jury. By law, no potus will be tried in a court of law while president.
It’s a Grand Jury, the subject isn’t entitled to defense as they are not yet charged with anything. Also, GJ’s hear a great many cases, so there is no mechanism for the subject to challenge jury candidates.
