I know. I just don’t like the look. But thanks for the suggestion! (I do not mind watching foreign movies with subtitles, but...that seems different to me!)
Me too and reading seems to diminish the magic but for now my hearing is still OK for me. It might be an expensive option but you could try an AV-receiver that can boost the vocal ranges. I have a Yamaha RX-V365 and a mish-mash of thrift store speakers. Some modes seem to boost the dialog better than others.
