Ever since Trump's campaign I see many folks here thinking that MAGA is going to happen. It's my contention that's not going to happen. Per Alexis De Tocqueville, we see what an outsider thought of America and it's institutions around 1831.
MAGA isn't going to happen via politics. This is an interesting article that highlights what America once was.

Men Made America Great, Women Made America Great. So the headline is stupid, misleading and idiotic.

Moan and complain all you want
Women did not vote for Hillary.
There is NO reason that MAGA can’t or won’t happen. Even Ivanka knows there is a difference between men and women. Her own life shows this

Fabulous! Thanks for making me depressed, BJ1. ;-) Perhaps when Jesus Christ comes back, things will be the way they should.

I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers and it was not there . . . in her fertile fields and boundless forests and it was not there . . . in her rich mines and her vast world commerce and it was not there . . . in her democratic Congress and her matchless Constitution and it was not there. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great. ― Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America

The key takeaway for me is that social structure follows moral structure. And social structure is what makes a nation strong and successful.
Therefore, moral structure is the foundation of any nation’s success. Or as de Toqueville put it in his oft-quoted analysis: “America is great because America is good. When America ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.”

They judge that her mind is as capable as that of man of discovering the naked truth, and her heart firm enough to follow the truth; and they have never sought to shelter the virtue of one more than that of the other from prejudices, ignorance or fear.
This must be the reason why we needed to pass the 19th amendment in 1920... Cuz we knew women were very intelligent, but they didn't know shi'it about politics

Its common to talk about returning to our founding principles, reflecting on the unique brand of politics and economics that turned America into the worlds freest and most prosperous nation. It is less common to examine the social fabric that allowed those principles to flourish. A respect for future generations requires that we consider not only the progression of our government, but also the progression of the family, as they drift ever further from the Founding Era.
