I agree and have thought the same for months.
“Bugs” aren’t relegated to 1970’s technology where they might be detected via a sweep.
Passive transmission technology is available.
They need to move key meetings and limit attendance.

Passive transmission is nothing new either. Bouncing laser beams off of vibrating window panes is one. The bugs in the Moscow embassy were powered by a microwave beam that the Soviets aimed at the building.
