That right there is quite possibly one of his gravest sins. That act of abandonment of patriots is one of the most heartbreaking things.

That account is crap. It has been copied thousands of times around the internet and not one of those times does it reference a real link or a real author.

Perhaps not. But the reference to the account above is nonexistent. It is simply crap that has been passed around the internet endlessly. It always comes from "an active duty aviator" or some other seemingly authoritative source. But those are not authoritative sources for this incident. They are simply passing on what that they got from someone else and nobody bothers to verfy it.
