On Monday, U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton found Arpaio guilty of criminal contempt of court, finding that he willfully violated a federal judge's order.
The sentencing phase will begin Oct. 5. Arpaio faces up to six months in confinement, a sentence equivalent to that of a misdemeanor.
Thanks for “ALL” your replies.
If agreed post should be forwarded to White House and President Trump for review and consideration.
.........this will never stand up on appeal. This judge is waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out of bounds legally. This is a textbook case of why the forefathers built impeachment of judges into the constitution.
Yes. The whole thing was a setup by the Obama administration.
yes yes yes yes yes yes...
Can he fire the judge?
Remember how many time Obama disobeyed the judge order on immigration?
Yeah, but he is a democrat, the law doesn’t apply to them.
Let it play out with the repeal first then yes if it doesn’t work out. The man served his country well.
This is all a leftist witch hunt. Leftists use the law as a weapon when it suits them and ignore it when it doesn’t. They truly are the devils spawn.
Its a political persecution, so yes.
2m/4d
YES! Right away. Not one second in jail.
YES
What is the significance of Oct 5??
That’s when the sentencing will be.
Federal Court judges have lifetime appointments. They can’t be fired.
But not 3+ months.
See ya missed where I corrected that error ... oh well
Re: #36
This was a purely political witch hunt, Sheriff Joe was enforcing existing immigration laws that Obama and his thugs were breaking. Sheriff Joe was also denied a jury trial for this MISDEMEANOR contempt of court charge.
Sheriff Joe is a good man, and he fought the good fight trying to keep Arizona safe from criminal illegal aliens.
He should not serve a single second in jail.
