I have been taking a course on the opioid crisis from a Harvard Medical School extension project, and it's fascinating information. But there is this inevitability laced through all the comments of the public health folks. Like "Can't be judgmental now..." and "The opioid crisis knows no demographic boundaries". etc. Well, one demographic it hasn't penetrated are persons who
never abused opioids. The experts in this program treat it like a common cold being transmitted via an airborne mechanism.
"Suffered from an overdose" is more of same. He administered an overdose to himself, which is a hairsplitting distinction from suicide.
