Everybody hated von Ribbentrop.
As Ribbentrop alienated more and more people in Britain, Göring warned Hitler that Ribbentrop was a “stupid ass”. Hitler dismissed Göring’s concerns: “[b]ut after all, he knows quite a lot of important people in England.” This remark led Göring to reply “Mein Führer, that may be right, but the bad thing is, they know him.”
Oh, yeah. Ex-Hitler Youth leader Baldur von Schirach was interviewed after the war by David Frost - it's HERE - and Frost asked him whether he thought Hitler was crazy and if so, when he knew. Von Schirach said that he knew Hitler was crazy when Hitler said that Ribbentrop was a genius.
