This type of snake kills a LOT of people. They are growing wild in Florida because dimwits released a bunch into the wild. Definitely too dangerous to allow them as pets.

I've owned a few boa constrictors over the years. They don't really get large enough to kill grown people. Maybe a child.

Boas don't get much longer than 6 feet or so, and probably have insufficient strength to kill an adult human by wrapping around their neck. They also don't have the instinct to try to kill something far larger than they can eat.

Now, a python, on the other hand—no problem...
