You can’t do anything about it. I have something called the Foreign Service Benefit Plan and it touted as being the same as the “Agency and Congress”. We pay for our plan and maybe it in part an ageny-assisted-paid benefit. No benefit plan can be put in place without agency or the union’s approval. The Congress is not the only place but State Department as well for the 15,00o plus authorized foreign service officer/specialist positions.

I talked with a postal employee about to retire how I pay $2,500 a month premiums for my wife and me and have a $9,000 deductible for a 70-30 policy. That makes me out $39,000 before the insurance company pays its 70%. He looked at me like I was showing him a unicorn. Finally he asked me "What do you think caused that?", to which I said Obamacare. He just stared at me like he was watching the unicorn walk away.

Government employees and politicians have zero clues to what it is like to be under the government thumb.
