It was in a sports bar in California. A lot of professional ball players used to go in there. The groupie girls go into those places looking for them. I think ever pro team has those kinds of girls hanging around. If she gets pregnant she hits the child support jackpot. I remember when a reporter asked NFL player Warren Cromartie to name his children and their ages. He could not do it.

This is no joke, around the same time period (late '80s) I was in a Boston bar (I swear, I have been to rather few bars in my life) and a very drunken woman starts hitting on me (which does not normally happen to me).... I am immediately not interested but try to talk to her politely for a little bit (big mistake). Anyway, in the course of her lengthy drunken monologue she says (exact quote, I can never forget it):

"I've slept with more than 600 guys and loved at least 550 of them."

I am not kidding, this happened. Needless to say I extricated myself and stayed far away from that icky human petri dish, leaving the bar soon after. She wasn't unattractive in a purely physical sense but I only wanted to run....
