If early Homo Sapiens bred with others, and they produced others, then, they were of the same “species”, meaning, they were all of the human species. Never mind calling the Neanderthals or Denisovans or Africans or whatever; they were all of the same species of animals.

If they produced fertile hybrids, they were the same species. This is just 100% humans being "interracial".

How is this possible? I was taught that two different species, even though close enough to produce offspring, the offspring will be sterile.
Horse+donkey= sterile mule.
Cow+bison= sterile cattlow.

If the two species broke off from a common ancestor relatively recently they can produce fertile offspring. Horses and donkeys separated too long ago to produce fertile offspring.
