OK, that looks pretty awesome. I didn’t know Hulk could be so calm and articulate when he was hulked up, but I haven’t really been following closely. If they can keep PC out of it I may just go see this one. Spidey and Captain America have put me off for that very reason. So far I can still watch Thor, Hulk and Iron Man.
Thanks for the link. While snooping there, I was reminded that there was supposed to be a second Ant-Man movie, and found out it’s titled “Ant-Man and The Wasp” to be released next year.
I checked IMDb, and it's rumored that Lou Ferrigno is doing Hulk's voice.
Ant-man and The Wasp should be good. I didn’t care much for the first movie, but they set it up nicely for the heroes to shrink into the microverse to find Janet VanDyne, the original Wasp.
Hulk is apparently evolving. Looks like the flick is borrowing generously from the Planet Hulk arc from Marvel comics.
I liked the first Ant-Man movie, and will watch the second one via Netflix. When we were kids, I’m talking about the 50’s, we read a lot of DC Comics...Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Super Girl, Aquaman, Plastic Man, Blackhawk. We also read a lot of Harvey Comics, Archie Comics, etc. I remember reading Sad Sack, Fritzi Ritz, Nancy and Sluggo, Little Lulu comic books. It all seems a hundred years ago.
Ma taught me how to read with Little Lulu comic books. I was well prepped for kindergarten. I got special privileges as a result. When I was in 1st grade my teacher gave me a key to the book room.
I read all the stuff you mentioned. Surprised you know about Blackhawk. I think that moves you to the Sheldon Cooper level of comicdom.
I was there for the Marvel revolution at day 1. I believe the first Marvel comic I read was Hulk #1. I missed Amazing Fantasy #15 but got The Amazing Spider-Man #2. I think the first issue of Fantastic Four I read was when they faced both Dr Doom and Sub-Mariner. I caught Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man, Avengers, X-Men from their starts. Wish I still had them.
I still have quite a collection though. At least 20,000 comics from the early 70’s to the late 90’s. Gotta sell those suckers.
I was into Blackhawk! Loved that comic. I'm a Navy brownshoe because of Blackhawk! Well, a lot of other reasons too! But the culture started with Blackhawk.
Once a week, on my paper route, I stopped at the drugstore to check if a Blackhawk comic had arrived.

Agree with you about Walt Simonson’s run on “Thor”. Some of the best comic writing I have ever seen.

I was the baby of the family, so read what my brother and sisters read. That's how I ended up reading Blackhawk. I liked the character Chop-Chop. We used to read MAD magazine too when it came out in the 50's. Maybe that's where I got my sick sense of humor.
I too was reading before I went to kindergarten. My mother read to me when I was small, so somehow I picked it up. There wasn't Sesame Street on TV back then, but Ding Dong School with Miss Frances, and Winky Dink and You with Jack Barry. I can still remember my mother taking me to the local branch library, which was down the street from the grammar school I would eventually go to. I've always enjoyed reading, and still try to set aside 3-4 hours a day to it.
