This is the reason Congress kept themselves EXEMPT,
to get Kennedy-level health care ONLY for themselves
and THEIR families.
The rest of the USA will get palliative care,
if at all.
With a FQbentynal -Cocaine shot!
Notice McCain didn’t go on the VA waiting list.
With nothing but a steady round of pain killers and morphine to make the patient comfortable until he/she expires...
This will be how single-payer will work too.
My wife has stage 4 brain cancer and is scheduled for surgery in two hours to ease some of he symptoms caused by her cancer.
I have had to go toe-to-toe with her oncologist and nurses to give her the best care. In fact, yesterday I had to lay out one of the nurses because all she wanted to do is drug my wife up and make her go away. Fortunately I can document her neglect.
GUARANTEE - John McCain will not have to fight as hard as I do to keep her alive.

A couple of things:
First, an 80-year-old would have regular old Medicare — not “Obamacare.”
Second, I don’t know why the “Congress made itself exempt” story endures, but it’s actually the opposite. As a “poison pill,” Republicans inserted a rule in Obamacare that says that all of Congress has to buy their plans on the Obamacare exchange (unless covered by a spouse’s plan). Obviously, that wasn’t enough of a poison pill, and Obamacare passed. What should be upsetting people is that in the Senate version of the reform bill, they DID put in special Congress-only rules.
Probably say at that age it would be too traumatic( and possibly true) for surgery so make sure your advance directive is filled out and your plot is paid for.
I feel bad when people I love or don't hate get sick. For McCain I feel nothing - everyday of my life that guy seems to have gotten up in the morning and work against my best interests and then act like some champion of the people. I suppose I should love my enemies in this situation, with him I find it very difficult - because he is the enemy and poses as a friend.
As for the cancer - I would imagine brain cancer is a catastrophic condition and those provisions would kick in
Between his government health care and Medicare, I don’t think 0bamacare is involved in this situation. JMO
3 of my family members passed away from glioblastoma multiforme tumors. Most patients over 70 don’t go through the Operation[s], Radiation and Chemo treatments. They choose to go home or into hospice care with pain medication. The operations to remove the tumors are horrible. Recover is painful and in some cases the patient loses use of body functions. At 80 years old, the treatment would not be worth the suffering.
ASK MCCAIN IF HE WOULD AGREE TO GO ON OBAMACARE RIGHT NOW
A LOT worse than McCain is going to be treated.
His wife is worth what, a couple hundred MILLION dollars? The fact is he can afford the best care found in the entire world on her interest payments and dividends alone.
Just because he gets better care than you or I doesn't mean anything other than his wife is so damn rich insurance is meaningless, in fact I bet he hasn't even filed the paperwork yet if it meant a hassle or time restraint in his care.
An 80’yo wouldn’t be on obamacare. At age 80 we’re covered by Medicare - which would provide chemo but which has limits on treatment/drugs that can be used. McCain’s likely also covered with the golden policy all legislators enjoy - which means the providers will get paid more and he’ll have access to more drugs and more expensive treatments. But between that policy and medicare, he’ll have same financial limits on treatments everyone else gets. A million, two million, etc. After that, like the rest of us, he’ll be out of pocket until his assets are liquidated, but even then, treatment will be limited to what he can afford.
Quit being “respectful” to tyrants. Grow a pair before they send you to the gulag.
For McCain it doesn’t matter because Congress was exempt from Obamacare...
