I’ll be buying a new Dell laptop with Windows10 soon, so this info is good. I currently have a desktop with Vista...so it’s time, I guess.
LOL, it was time years ago if you have Vista (or Windows 8). I simply skipped Windows 8 after all that I heard about it...and waited for 10 (which still can’t match 7).

You’ll wanna look up how to turn off —most— of the crap spyware nonsense they force on you- and you’ll need to go through the settings from time to time as windows has taken it upon themselves to reinstate the spyware when they do upgrades
We’re talking about security- but windows 10 ‘phones home’ info about your computer and your usage- would be nice if bit defender BLOCKED MS from doing this
