“unholstered” = They are likely correct here as cops usually (/s) don’t fire their guns while still in their holsters.
“his” = meaning it was a male cop (actually, not these days)
“started blasting” = hyperbole. Again, they really don’t know shite.
Well, I don’t think the gun was in it’s holster, and it didn’t go off by itself.
So, that’s an accurate description.
You need to make sure the cop feels safe.
It’s funny, but when I was a kid it was the cops’ job to make the citizen feel safe.
