I was probably on a gasoline line, getting people's cars filled up for them.

"Did the M60 work well at keeping the chiggers away?"

At least I found that, after firing some rounds, putting the hot barrel on the chigger bites between my toes took away the itching for awhile.

It did, however, give me some other problems which could have been the cause of my nickname "Stubby" ....

I was at an event 8-10 years ago. There were about 300 12-17 year old boys. There was some kind of modern head thumping music playing before the event started that was being ignored. Then, “Don’t Stop Believing” (1981) from Journey came on the soundtrack and virtually every kid began to sing along.

A few years ago, my daughter signed up for some free music streaming service, not knowing that she committed to pay for it the next month, with my money since she was only 13. I decided that since I was paying, I got the tunes. I looked up Billboard Top 100 from 1973 and since I recognized 90+ of the songs, downloaded most of them.

I was only ten years old in 1973 and not listening to much music, but the music of the ‘70’s has such strong staying power that it transcends generations.

The talent pool of tremendous musicians, especially in a few regions (Detroit, Philadelphia, Los Angeles etc) at that time rivals the way the Lord put a small group of men together in Boston, Philadelphia and Virginia in the mid 1700’s.

Yes! Back when the Iranians were OK.
Those ugly Pink P-3s.

I helped their guys fix a radar set when we stayed overnight there. They were clueless.

In mid-1979, we financed a new Manitowoc dragline at $21.5 percent interest.
Cost of the machine and two 8 yard buckets was $1.5 million.

My five yer old son had accumulated $100 in his piggy bank. Our local bank wouldn’t sell us a CD for $100 but the savings and loan would.

The $100 returned $120 in one year.

[I must admit 1977 was an uninspiring year.

I was 15.]

1962 was a good year though. (grin)

“Led Zeppelin North American Tour 1977.”

Saw them up close at the Silverdome when they still had general admission seating. It was brutal down on the main floor and loud as f*ck!

My wifee at the time was partaking in the sexual revolution. It was all downhill/uphill at the time although I didn;t know it.
