Maybe I missed something but all I remember was the clothing, jewelry, makeup and hairstyles they promoted. Maybe that was all was looking for don’t know. Somehow missed that they promoted sex all the time. Too busy trying to be the next Brooke Shields or Christie Brinkley to think about getting laid.
I was a teenager in the 1970s, and the only relationship articles in “Seventeen” and similar teen magazines that I remember involved things like kissing on the first date, or breaking up if you found out your steady boyfriend secretly dated someone else. No promotion of non-marital sex of any kind.
