The first global study into egg freezing found that shortages of eligible men were the prime reason why women had attempted to take matters into their own hands.

I know lots of young men this side of the Pond abjure marriage because it has become a colossal trap for any man who becomes successful. The love of his life files for divorce and the law is totally on her side. She strips him of wealth, children, the house and car and in some states gets stuck with alimony that increases with time due to his presumed improvement (whether it works out that way or not) in income while leaving him with four or 5 maxed out credit cards that he must pay off even if it is her name on them. None of this has bitten me but I have watched enough friends and relatives who have gotten successful and it seems like a Law of Nature that the wives must then divorce them.
Most Christian colleges seem to have the same reputation. As I like to say, these are the places women go to get their MRS. degree.
Some actually get the joke, most spend several minutes trying to figure out what degree MRS stands for.

There is no shortage of eligible men.
It’s just that men have finally wised up to the connivings of these left-wing “educated” moonbat “women” and don’t want to ruin their lives by getting involved with them, financially and otherwise.
LOL Friday night is when you usually find these bitter 'women are horrible' threads. It's really too bad because they must have had a bad experience and have decided all women are bad. They blame the women and overlook the fact that maybe they're attracted to the wrong women.
Many of the guys claim they want a decent, caring woman but look at who they're asking out - the gals with the big boobs who may be nice at first but really are grouchy, controlling females. No wonder they're wounded.
That is the 19th Amendment for you. Women should not have the vote. Period. They have biological imperatives that cause them, in the aggregate, to vote for security and protection for themselves and their children. A subdivision of that is they vote for the government to make people “be nice.” My wife a long time ago told me that and I have heard it from other women since and have read it more recently from women in blogs and in the conservative press.
All of that is superficial. Repeal the 19th Amendment. Alas, it can’t be done because of the 19th Amendment. Women are the voting majority now. There is no way back without some catastrophic political event that takes us back to the original Constitution of the United States with its first ten Amendments and no more.
Young women have heard all their cognitive lives that they don’t need husbands and that the Government will take care of them. They just have to use up their childbearable years in University learning useless and untrue things.

If you are only interested in marrying up. Yeah there will be a shortage.

Bingo! Years ago when I was a college kid in L.A., I went home for the weekend to see my parents (in Santa Barbara).
While there, I was visiting Robinson’s Department Store when I overheard a homely looking 19-21 year old female employee with glasses talking to the other women employees behind the cosmetics counter.
The one girl was saying, “When I get married, I want the man to be good looking, rich,” and this that and the other.
I regret not going up to her and saying. “What the hell are you bringing to the table, toots?”

Except that would make some of the women in church very angry.
Many “good” church girls are on the merry go round themselves, and have no interest in the Christian men.
Viable human beings can be made by merging eggs. Women don’t need men to reproduce anymore.
