Don't know what to think about this other than it keeps from having to use a toilet plunger.
Video Here.

That’s a big gamble on adhesive.

A bad idea.
You should use a plunger to PULL, not push.
Pushing tends to jam the blockage tight.
Working the plunger down, then PULL.
This will pull the block back, hopefully, allowing the water to pass and erode the blockage.
Your mileage may vary.

Why not get get a toilet that flushes correctly on the FIRST try? I have a TOTO brand toilet and it flushes every time even using only 1.5 gallons of water per flush--a tribute to the engineers who figured it out using computer technology in the design of the toilet.

I’m just imagining the plastic tearing on the first push.

I spent a year in Korea and never saw a flush toilet in the “wild”. That was a long time ago. With progress comes problems, I guess.

So a plastic sheet sealed across the toilet to act as a plunger. Before I opened the site I was imagining it involved kimchi farts.

Interesting... I wonder what adhesive is being used here. Right now I’m researching various adhesive tapes to see what works for joining two plastic sheets together underwater and will hold indefinitely(say a week or two). Anyone with experience on tapes used for underwater applications? There is an infomercial playing regularly for a product called Flex Seal... anyone with any experience with it?

Amazing! Someone invented a better mousetrap. I wish they didn’t show the brown poopy water though.

Fill a bucket about 3/4’s to the top with hot water from the tub faucet and pour, not too quickly, into toilet. Might take 3 or 4 pours, rarely more.

Flex Seal seems to work great if you ever saw your john boat in tow and want to repair it.

On my toilets, the crap would backflow into the tank (through the stopper). I just use a closet auger for the tough jobs.

I’ll wait for Consumer Reports evaluation before I buy one. Interesting video though.
