I had a 1966 Electra 225 (aka Duce & A Quarter). Bought it from a neighbor about twenty years ago for $500. It had the 425 nail head with four barrel. Would still do 120 mph without even breathing hard. Had cold ac. And, had an early version of cruise control which was set kinda like setting an alarm clock by turning a dial on the speedo to desired speed then pushed the dial to set, lived in Midland, Texas at the time and wife and I would drive it to El Paso/Juarez for a weekend of clubbing as we figured no one would want to steal it. Anyway, that ole hog was a great road trip cruiser. Would set the cruise on 80 mph and sit back and let it eat the miles 😏...

I didn’t have my Deuce and a Quarter for too long, but it was a great car. Only drove it around town, no road trips. I was young and didn’t have any money then.
