A helicopter has apparently tried to bomb Venezuela's Supreme Court in what President Nicolas Maduro called a "terrorist attack".
The government says a police office flew the helicopter over the capital, Caracas, and dropped grenades.
Footage on social media shows a helicopter circling over the city before a loud bang is heard.
The officer believed to have seized the aircraft has issued a video statement condemning the government......
President Maduro said grenades had been dropped in the attack and he promised that security forces would capture those behind it.
"I have activated the entire armed forces to defend the peace," he said in an address from the Miraflores presidential palace.
"Sooner or later, we are going to capture that helicopter and those who carried out this terror attack."
The police officer, who called himself Oscar Perez, appeared on Instagram, flanked by armed and masked men in uniform.
He appealed to Venezuelans to oppose "tyranny".
"We are a coalition of military employees, policemen and civilians who are looking for balance and are against this criminal government," he said.
"We don't belong to any political party or tendency. We are nationalists, patriots and institutionalists.".......

The things I have been hearing about their prisons, I cannot even repeat on this site. So degrading and disgusting are the allegations.
LOL
Heck, I’m eating food right now and wouldn’t care to discuss it with you.
Just for the record I identify as an attack helicopter. My pronouns are Brrr/Buzzz/Boom. Watch what you say or i’ll become highly offended and may break something.
This is a foreshadowing of what I think will happen in DC, one day.
These black-robed gods will get their due one day (I’m looking at you, Ginzberg), after all their insults to and usurpations of our God-given rights.
Staged.
This is sort of what you would get if you could cross a brutal military dictatorship with a clown car.
Well, that’s one angry helicopter.
: ) (I see what you did there)
False Flag...they are very popular these days, aren’t they?
Reminds me of a Lorena Bobbitt-era joke about mosquitoes, but I shan't repeat it here.
Helicopter had a banner to show- I doubt the government story of grenades has any truth to it. If you want people to read your banner you don’t drop grenades on them.
Maduro most likely made that up to justify what he’s going to do to the guy and anyone connected to him.
“Maduro is due to leave in January. If hes smart, hell make that sooner.”
Tell me, are there lamp posts in Caracas? Maduro’s “term” should “expire” ASAP via a rope around his neck tied to said lamp post.
My thoughts also
It’s like Stone Cold, starring Brian Bosworth as the most inept action hero ever.
I think helicopter was a false-flag operation, to justify a bigger crackdown.
General Pinochet, White Courtesy Phone.
>General Pinochet, White Courtesy Phone.
If there’s one thing this world needs is a lot of helicopter rides for a lot of communists.
Reichstag fire.
You might well be right. Dropping frags from a helicopter against people inside a structure tells me that they wanted appearances and not results.
