This controversy of men vs women in sports should just go away because everyone who espouses it is after recognition.

Women and men should compete against their own gender and males (mediocre males) saying they feel they’re really females and competing against good female athletes and winning are just four flushers.

Back when I was a frequent and semi-serious runner I was always pleased to finish ahead of the first woman, because usually she was a damned fine athlete. But in my second-ever competitive five mile race I was closing on the first woman with a couple of hundred yards to go; when I got up on her shoulder I saw that she was a high school aged kid, maybe 15 or so. So I just stayed half a stride back (no guys were close enough to catch me anyway) and played cheerleader to the crowds at the finish area. It made me feel good.

Never did that again.
