The supreme function of statesmanship is to provide against preventable evils. In seeking to do so, it encounters obstacles which are deeply rooted in human nature. One is that by the very order of things such evils are not demonstrable until they have occurred: at each stage in their onset there is room for doubt and for dispute whether they be real or imaginary. By the same token, they attract little attention in comparison with current troubles, which are both indisputable and pressing: whence the besetting temptation of all politics to concern itself with the immediate present at the expense of the future. Above all, people are disposed to mistake predicting troubles for causing troubles and even for desiring troubles: "If only," they love to think, "if only people wouldn't talk about it, it probably wouldn't happen."

A week or two ago I fell into conversation with a constituent, a middle-aged, quite ordinary working man employed in one of our nationalised industries. After a sentence or two about the weather, he suddenly said: "If I had the money to go, I wouldn't stay in this country." I made some deprecatory reply to the effect that even this government wouldn't last for ever; but he took no notice, and continued: "I have three children, all of them been through grammar school and two of them married now, with family. I shan't be satisfied till I have seen them all settled overseas. In this country in 15 or 20 years' time the black man will have the whip hand over the white man..."

Conservative British Politician Enoch Powell warned his countrymen of what was going to happen to England because of unchecked immigration. After giving this speech in 1968, he was promptly sacked from his position as defense secretary. As prescient as Powell was, and as wrong it was to fire him for speaking the truth, his dismissal was inevitable. For you see the Western World is under God's judgment. Yahweh, the God of Israel and the Bible, said that when a nation forgets Him, waves of immigrants who will not assimilate will come in and take over the nation until that nation is destroyed. This prophetic pronouncement occurred many times in Israel's history (including today). Now it is occurring in Israel's progeny, the Western Christian nations. Maranatha! (come quickly Lord Jesus)

Allah is a curse on nations that turn against God.
The leaders of these nation are drunk on the oil.
They are being turned over for judgement.
They don’t want Jesus , they don’t want you to mention him ,
they don’t want you to pray in his name so they are getting the opposite , mohammad and all the madness that comes with him.
The British Empire fell when it divided the land of Israel and formed an Arab nation out of more than half that mandate. This is their judgment for touching God’s land.
Keep looking up , he is coming soon .
Very good post.
Perhaps people have grown cold to the corollary of the principles of judgment through over-familiarity. But I suspect it is rather because it is not taken to heart:
2 Chronicles 7:14
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Wow! Thanks for posting. I just watched a Mark Steyn interview and this speech was referenced. I’ve never heard of it. So timely. The interview was with Douglas Murray and can be found on YouTube. Guys book is The Strange Death of Europe.
RoB Ping.
This speech was widely condemned by gloabalists and diversity mavens in Britain at the time—but his vision of the harm done by unlimited immigration has proved not only prophetic, but far short of the actuality.
Exactly. Powell actually underestimate the speed and breadth of the changes wrought by Third World immigration. The US is headed down the same road at an even faster pace.
Very interesting speech. Thanks for posting.
I just recently heard the name Enoch Powell in a Eric Clapton documentary I watched on axs tv. The intro was Powell giving the speech, then some critic or writer excoriating Clapton for supporting Powell. The critic went on and on about how Clapton has never appologized fro supporting Powell.
I found it weird that they would start a documentary of Clapton with this reference.
This needs wider exposure. Enoch Powell was right.

As far back as 1968 we can see a deliberate attempt by the Socialist Left to use political correctness as a legal weapon to to divide and conquer Western Civilization. It is a key plank of The Agenda and must be fought wherever it emerges.
