Yep, Sometimes they don’t strike until 1630hours and last raining hard until 1930hours or 2000 hours, for a true monsoon, this storm happens every day for about 5 weeks.
I spent almost a year in the White Mountains. Those daily afternoon thunderstorms were spectacular. Never smelled air so fresh as after they blew through and all the Ponderosa Pine were drenched. That was heaven!
