Then they’ve got to fix these automated check-out machines. At Walmart, I’ve never gotten out without a cashier coming over and fixing the snafu. And it happens at ShopRite and other stores.
I’ve never used one at Wal-Mart, but I love the self-check out at my grocery store. It’s fast, accurate, and beats standing in line for my normally small number of items. I have to say, though, the staff this store has monitoring the self-check stations are always really on the ball and keep things moving on those few times somebody has an issue.
I’ve tried the self check outs a couple of times at Walmart and Home Depot. Do NOT like them. They always mess up and you spend ten times longer waiting around for someone to come fix it. No, I’ve given up on them and use the human checkers.
