MB was once on my short list as a place to go vs Fl. upon leaving Lib New England
After living in S Fla for 30 years prior and seeing what Black Bike week has done to MB,think I will stick with Cen Fl
When are politicians going to state the obvious? We have a black crime and underclass problem in America. That’s not racist, it is simply a fact.
I hate to break it to the mayor, but that ship sailed long ago. The locals try to downplay the high crime rate, mostly property crimes, by explaining that tourists should count in the population stats. Can’t wait to see them try that in some tourism ads...
We don't venture far from home during Harley week or black bikers week just because of the traffic tie ups.
Rule 1:
Stay from away from anything that is called “Black xxxxx Week”
and MLK Blvd
That is one apt reference right there, COBOL2Java...!
Savannah, GA just as bad. Except they do use their police to protect the tourists, however at the expense of locals left to suffer high crime. My neighborhood has had about 30 break ins in last ten months. I’ve heard the word “vigilante” creeping into many conversations.
Folks keep a gun in their pocket sitting inside their homes. It’s BAD
MB was nice when I visited 15 years ago. Now, I’m not sure if I want to visit it...
Mom & I for years went to the Spoleto festival in Charleston. That seemed like the most incredibly safe small city. I figure it was policed up to the max.
Your post is about the 5th time very recently that I have heard about Savannah’s crime problem. I did not know it was that bad. I’ve always wanted to explore it.
Actually, MLK Dr. in our smallish town is a really nice street of well maintained smaller homes, flower gardens & quiet. I enjoy driving thru it on my way to the farmer’s market to get a look at the gardens & pots of trees & plants.
Your lucky, actually.
Is it MLK Drive or the Full name?
Thats sad although these historic small towns are usually in the older sections of towns and surrounded by poverty.
Ran into that in Cocoa Fl.
Looked at a house in Cocoa Village. Was nice but in the center of Cocoas Hood
Savages.
Now, I don't know if I'd get within 10 miles of the place. It's so sad how what was once good and normal have been ruined. Just ruined.
Hoss
I never noticed, will check it out. I am curious, what is the difference?
The Democrats are the ones doing the shooting over and over again. They do not limit their disdain for law and order only to shootings. Recall Ferguson, BLtimore and Berkley. They aren’t always black either. The lawless Democrats are definitely an equal opportunity group.
That is what the avoid ghetto app is for. Certain events need a bit more work I suppose like Disney gay days.
