I like how the red car just stops in the middle of the road. Never occurred to them to pull off onto the shoulder.
Not necessarily unwise.
Depending on the direction of the tornado, they might have needed to pull a quick 180 and get out of there. If you’re on the shoulder there is a possibility you could get stuck, especially if the rain had just been coming down.
