Nobody rioted over that verdict, IIRC; in fact, some folks were downright giddy.

Yep that was crazy to see the reaction to the OJ verdict. It was celebrated by many black people, and many whites were stunned. As I recall lawyer Johnnie Cochran made closing arguments to the jury in which he talked about the legacy of slavery and discrimination. Such subjects can be explored but had nothing to do with whether OJ killed those people. Why do grandstanding lawyers get to make such speeches?
