Comey: Huma Abedin Sent Classified Emails To Anthony Weiner
FBI Director James Comey said Abedin shared the documents with her husband so he could print them out for her.
FBI Director James Comey on Wednesday revealed that former Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin regularly emailed classified documents to her husband Anthony Weiner so he could print them out for her, though Comey emphasized the FBI does "NOT" believe any crimes were committed in the process.
His then-spouse, Huma Abedin, appears to have had a regular practice of forwarding emails to him for him, I think, to print out for her so she could then deliver them to the Secretary of State [Clinton], Comey told members of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, as part of an annual hearing on the FBIs operations.
My understanding is that his role would be to print them out as a matter of convenience, Comey said of Weiner, adding that he did not believe the former congressman from New York had actually read the classified documents.
Even as Comey sought to play down Abedin and Weiners roles in the mishandling of classified information, his revelation sheds new light on why top-secret documents were found on Weiners computer last fall. It also informs why Comey felt compelled to announce the findings in a letter to Congress on Oct. 28, just 11 days before the presidential election.
The timing of Comeys letter, which was promptly made public, is widely believed to have played a part in swinging the election in favor of President Donald Trump, who trailed Clinton in nearly every poll throughout the presidential campaign.
Many Clinton supporters still blame Comey and his 11th-hour letter for Trumps narrow victory.
On Wednesday, Comey told senators that the FBI completed its investigation into Abedin and Weiners handling of classified material, and it found no evidence of criminal intent.
With respect to Miss Huma Abedin in particular, we didnt have any indication she had had a sense that what she was doing was a violation of the law, Comey said of the forwarded emails. And we couldnt prove any sort of criminal intent.
At the time that Weiner received the emails, Comey said, Weiner did not have a security clearance the way he would have had when he was a member of Congress.

*************************************
I would gladly take that case to trial and let her try to prove that to a jury.
She committed hundreds of felonies that require no intent at all, and Comey let her WALK AWAY SCOT-FREE.
They all know this is not how security clearances work.
Id have been in jail for what the did.
Most uninquisitive lawman ever.
Comey is a Democrat.
Democrats believe that “good intentions” are all that is needed to make them immune to any law.
“Good intentions” is easily applied to any act from stealing to mass murder.
Comey is just doing what Democrats believe as part of their philosophy.
While pulling ahead of the lackluster challenge, #SiO2 from yours truly, PbFt.
....Most uninquisitive lawman ever...
Lawman? Like a Chicago Cop on the Capone payroll. Dems had a good friend in a very high place. And nothing happened when he let Hillary Skate.
Bring in special prosecutors for the Hillary “matter,” the uranium deal, the Clinton Foundation, billions for Iran, Fast and Furious, and the leakers including Comey.
Or, are the rules different for Democrats as always?
So Comey expects the people of the US to believe that he is stupid enough to believe that it was easier for Huma to email her husband than to hit that little print icon at the top of the page.
“Id have been in jail for what the did.”
And not just any normal jail...
Let me see, a Suni hack of the religion of spies like Huma had no idea? Give me a break. Another unintentional crime? Seems like the FBI does not want to defend the country, all is out for foreign powers.
It seems Comey was the guy used to protect Obama and his sbirs. He is a bit like the guy who tells a husband (the ever cuckoled American electorate) to go to his room and find another man with his wife but to not do anything because it is not what he thinks, just a little acting for TV...
The problem with secure emails is not printing them, it is transferring them to an un secure computer system in order to print them.
Not an automagic thing.
I they transferred them to a word prcessor and typed them, it is still a crime.
No argument.
I had a friend who had a security clearance. He was fired for failing to completely destroy a classified document in a shredder (aka known as the goat). I think he also had to do JAIL time for this mistake.
This video was posted 7 days before the election! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ov5kvWSz5LM&t=8s
Really wondering what Donald Trump has in mind here. To let these folks embarrass themselves very thoroughly in public before finally laying down the law?
It would take just a few acerbic tweets at this point, and Comey would be lower than a grasshopper’s toenail.
dual nationals shouldn’t be able to hold security clearences
no kidding... it has been stated on multiple occasions by both parties that it was not Comey’s call to decide no prosecution would go forward against these traitors... that and deterioration of trust were the official reasons for his canning. OK, Seems to me that mishandling classified documents has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the Russia circus. So, why has Sessions not exercised his own authority to pursue criminal prosecution?
He is playing to the stupidity of the populace: if I they say it on tv it must be true.
We are doomed as a nation, sad as it is......
If it was all so innocent and unimportant, why did she need to print them at all? Paper reduction is all the rage in government.
Oh, yes. Everything is different for the elite. Everything.
They are without punishment, without law. Whenever you think of this, remember that they passed laws that allowed the lawmakers to do insider trading.
