It is true. When people don’t have a dog in the fight, they don’t watch women’s sports (except things like figure skating and such, which is an exception) they watch men’s sports because that is where the peak of physical competition is at.

A couple of small exceptions. Women's basketball is a big deal in Connecticut, because the UConn women's team is so dominant (despite losing this year). Also, women's roller derby used to be a thing (more than the more athletic men), and the women weren't particularly much to look at.

I know what you mean.

In the roller derby (and yea, I do remember roller derby!) I view that as a freak show in the same way Women’s Boxing is a freak show. The only thing missing is a midget with a round card.

As for UConn, they all have that dog in the fight there!
