I even assumed his https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/10/28/us/politics/fbi-letter.html?_r=0 reluctant letter that the investigation was back on was released under pressure from senior men in the FBI, but only reluctant because he did not want to influence the election.
It takes a lot for me to conclude that someone is moral scum, but former-Director Comey has reached that point. I now realize that I was completely wrong on Comey’s fundamental character. My best read now is that the July speech was to give Hillary cover, and the October letter was only sent because it would hurt Hillary less than the leaks he was warned would flood out.
Since Hillary’s loss? Comey seems to have been a partisan, one of the top tier aides to those orchestrating the “Resist” and impeachment movements. It looks like Comey was fabricating leaks in favor of and even evidence for impeachment. There used to be laws about conspiracy to overthrow the government of the United States, back when the rule of law mattered.

Maybe he meant that he deleted his original memos right after he did a copy/paste into the manuscript of his book. It’s a Clintonesque lie. He DID delete the memos - technically. But they still exist.
Which is why they should go after Coney for both leaking and perjury among other things. The expression “throw the book at him.” should apply with regard to charges.
If Comey was so concerned, why didn’t he file an official FBI form FD-302 which is used for reporting Information That May Become Testimony.?

Yes, incapable of keeping the lies straight. Impulsively driven to self-promote with such lies in a vain effort to ameliorate the pain of knowing he is nothing but an empty suit permanently ruined by countless stains of corruption.
There is no “there could have been a memo”, it either existed or it didn’t. Comey testified under oath that it existed. Regardless of the ability to produce it, Comey can be charged with leaking and likely destruction of government property if he can’t produce the document. If he admits the memo was a fabrication he then gets with perjury.

Now they’re kicking around the idea of having Comey testify again. Why?!? The man is an attention whore; “courting” him day in and day out is just feeding the pig. The best thing TPTB in DC can do is to ignore him.
Truth is, there never was any memos. Comey is a big liar and dem political hack.
He needs to be behind bars.

This sounds crooked as hell. What is he hiding from his conversations with Trump? Did his testimony distort what Trump said even compared to what was in his own memos? Were there other things in the memos that paint Trump in a good or exculpatory light that he doesn’t want to get out, or did Comey foolishly write something incriminating about himself?
