While he spoke the truth there was no reason to give the media another red flag to wave in front of the ignorant masses. But it won't be enough. They had everything going their way for decades with their MSM mouthpieces spreading their storyline pretty much unopposed and every attempt by us to expose the hidden Powers-That-Be was quickly ridiculed as a conspiracy theory - and then the internet came along and screwed everything up for them. Now we can educate ourselves and spread our knowledge among ourselves outside of their control. We can even elect our own leaders now. Does anyone think President Trump would have been possible without his Twitter account?

I don't think civil war was previously a part of their plan (they were doing a pretty good job of sleep walking us into their NWO) - but if they don't do something soon to get the internet under control that is going to be the only option they have left.
