I have a python (he's 22 yoa). Although he is a "live" feeder, he suffocates his prey before he begins to swallow it.

I didn’t look like it. Sadly, constrictors are very effective at what they do, and I saw no respiratory motion whatsoever from the goat once released from the coils.
