Maybe because I came of age in the 60s and have already seen that look, the dress did nothing for me with its large graphic calla lilies all up the front. Looks like something Twiggy, Beverly Johnson or Jean Shrimpton would have worn in the pages of Seventeen magazine.

Back in the mid-60s, the pop art themes had designers over-literalizing everything. You couldn't buy a cheese board without the word "cheese" printed in big letters on it as a "design element." Just so you'd know it was a cheese board...

The 60s had fabulous fashion. It’s never been as wonderful except for a brief spurt in the 80s.
