Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly was many things for many people. For the former Fox personality, it was her major coming-out party on NBC. For Russian President Vladimir Putin, it was a game.
And for viewers, it was a chance to see if months and months of heavy buildup surrounding the networks new star anchor would pay off.
The hour-long news show promised to be a a tough conversation between Kelly and the Russian leader. But for Putin, it was childs play as he displayed an elusive and ultimately dismissive demeanor toward Kelly.

Thank you so much! I’d rather spend a couple of days listening to Putie than two minutes of MeAgain.

Putin made his bones as a KGB thug. This guy would step over his own mother. He's the product of the soul less and brutal system he once served. He can be charming when he needs to be but Russia isn't the West. Women don't get very high up in the ‘nomenklatura’’ in Russia. It is still very much a male dominated society especially in politics. To Putin Kelly was no more than a pleasant, if somewhat mildly annoying distraction.
