ADA, Oklahoma - Ada Police say a man shot and killed his neighbor, claiming the neighbor was trying to drown two infants Friday morning. Police officer Lisa Bratcher says the man was attempting to drown a boy and a girl, both three-months-old in the bathtub when a 12-year-old ran out of the home and told his neighbor.
According to KXII, the CBS affiliate in Sherman, Texas, police said that neighbor went inside the home, confronted the man holding the two infants in the tub and shot him twice.
Police say the two infants were stable when they were taken to an Oklahoma City hospital.
Ada Police have not released the names of the man who was killed or the neighbor.

Sorry, you know all that I know about it.
The name is Cash Freeman.
In 2011, Foster was charged with domestic abuse by strangulation and arson, according to KFOR.

Most definitely. This has “weird” written all over it.
The Brits are on the case ...

How can you “try to drown” two three month old babies? It would be done in a matter of seconds, well within the time it would take to get a neighbor over, assess the situation, and then shoot to kill. Very odd one, this is.
Perp black, with a criminal history (duh). Hero neighbor white. Perp the father of the twin babies, holding off the mother with a knife while he tried to drown the 3-month olds in the bathtub. Neighbor alerted by 12 y/o girl living at the property, arms himself with a revolver, and shoots the b@st@rd twice, killing him. Justice served.
So... is there any actual evidence of the alleged attempt at drowning babies, or are we supposed to just take the shooter’s word?
I am sure it is all made up so the neighbor could run off with the mother of the two babies. Then be responsible for her other children also. /S/
A great steak dinner. On me.
Just saw another version of this story with more details:

A heroic man shot dead his neighbour in Ada, Oklahoma, after he tried to drown his three-month-old twins on Friday (2 June).
Cash Freeman fired twice at Leland Michael Foster as the former tried to submerge his baby twins in a bathtub, while holding their mother at bay with a knife.
Foster’s 12-year-old granddaughter told Freeman what was happening and he rushed to the premises with his gun at around 12.30pm (5.30pm BST).
The mother of the infants told police in a desperate phone call that Foster had threatened to kill her with a knife and was trying to drown her twins.
Ada Public Information Director Lisa Bratcher told local media that the woman was screaming and pleading for help. Bratcher said Freeman entered the home with a revolver and shot Foster twice, killing him.
Freeman was questioned by police and released. Bratcher said his actions would be reviewed by the district attorney’s office who would determine if he will face any charges for the shooting.
The twins, a boy and a girl, were taken to the Mercy Hospital in Ada by helicopter before being transferred to the Oklahoma City Hospital. They are said to be in a stable condition and are expected to be released from hospital this evening (4 June).
Foster had prior criminal records for arson and domestic abuse by strangulation, according to court records.
Lesse.. There's the children's mother who was standing there being threatened with a knife, there's the 12 year old who ran the neighbor for help - and there's the record of helicopter medical evacuation and treatment for the infants.
Not exactly experienced in investigations - or reading a story all the way to the end - are we?
Fosters 12-year-old granddaughter told Freeman what was happening and he rushed to the premises with his gun at around 12.30pm (5.30pm BST).
Typical KXII ... amateur news station
I doubt they will push charges, but either way he can rest easy knowing he did the right thing.
According to the Daily Mail, the deceased was 27 years old. No way he could have a 12 year old grand daughter. A 12 year old daughter is possible, I suppose. Maybe it was a step-grand daughter, if he were married to an older woman.
Interesting handle
