Christine and Yousef Youkhaneh have been married for the past 53 years, so when a burglar began to attack Christine, Yousef jumped into action.
Christine, 74, was on her porch when she was suddenly attacked by a 50-year-old home invasion suspect.
“She just kept hitting me,” she told KPIX.
Immediately, she stumbled inside her home and called to her husband for help.
“Her body was all bloody,” Yousef said.
The suspect was armed with a gardening tool, but that didn’t stop Yousef from grappling with her.
Yousef is from Syria and is a former weight lifting champion. Although he is 82-years-old, he still does modified workouts to keep up his strength.
The pair tumbled out onto the sidewalk as he called for others to help him.
However, no one came to his aid.
“People just watched like it was a movie,” he said.
Yousef was still able to hold the woman until deputies arrived on the scene.
“I am right or maybe I am wrong, but I do my duty,” he said. “I must protect myself, my family, my home, my country.”
This incident happened up the street from my home.
Did you watch? I think the watchers should be arrested for aiding and abetting the women (black, white or tan?) who attacked this elderly couple.

No, I came out my door to go to the bank and saw about 12 cop cars and a commotion. It was later I had found out what had happened. Initially, I thought someone had gotten run over.

He looks pretty good for 82. And he has a good attitude. He said that his wife is okay and that is all he needs.

Is it possible the bystanders didn’t know who was the victim and who was the culprit when they saw an elderly man and a woman in conflict?
Yep, had I came upon the incident when it was going on, I would have probably thought the perp was Mr. Yousef and not that stupid lowlife woman.

The woman, Rehnu Singh, 50, is described as a transient.
Among other charges were probation violation, but no mention of other crimes. Importantly, while the last name Singh has traditionally been and still is associated with Sikhs, is has been adopted by other groups as well and is widely distributed.

Due to the source and the information in the headline, I quite naturally assumed that two squatters had fought off a property owner.
Should have killed the scumbag bitch before tumbling out the door!
I prefer reports stating the intruder was shot and killed.
