This by the way is why elite liberal Democrats like illegal immigration. They get to hire gardeners, landscapers and household servants for cheap money under the table. They get all that cheap labor with no strings attached - they don't have to worry about all those taxes and pesky paperwork that legal employers have to worry about. They even get the added bonus that illegal aliens tend to vote Democrat, when they are allowed to vote, and that is probably more often than you want to know.

It's basically a modern day version of slavery. Just like how Democrats did not want to give up their cheap slave labor back before the Civil War period.

It's also a form of "virtue signaling," but using people instead of things. People who hire illegal aliens feel they're doing good in the world. They get to feel righteous.

Remember those charm bracelets that came with religious symbols (grain of mustard seed = faith, anchor = faith, etc.)? They've been replaced by secular jewelry. I can't believe it, but someone actually https://www.eater.com/2017/2/14/14612472/kale-bracelet-1400-dollars fashioned a bracelet that's supposed to resemble the vegetable kale. Seriously.

These are the same individuals who would rather "sponsor" a needy child from a third-world country than their impoverished American neighbors.
