I don’t believe he is eligible. The 22nd amendment.”

There is some debate about this. Having sat out a term there are constitutional scholars who say someone could run again. If anyone ever lived who could be narcissistic enough to try it it would be Obongo.

Please tell us which ‘Constitutional scholars’ say this.

It’s true that the Constitution doesn’t mean much to the federal gov’t, but the *numbers* in the Constitution have not been questioned.

‘Every second year’, ‘two senators’, ‘sole power’, etc, and ‘No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice’ is the same kind of number.

... there are constitutional scholars who say someone could run again. ...

The supreme court ruled slavery legal for close to 100 years and they were all constitutional scholars so don't put too much stock in an opinion.

There’s no debate over this. Obama is not eligible.

The 22nd amendment clearly says No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.

There are no further qualifiers that change this prohibition.

Obama cannot serve a third term. No one can have a third term.

The best that can possibly occur is if a Vice President succeeds a President for less than two years, then runs for election and wins. He can have one more election so the most that could be served would be 2 1/2 terms.

Lyndon Johnson was the only one of which I can think who might have been able to do this. It's very unlikely this will ever be possible again.
