There was a time when I paid to see a new film almost every week, but somewhere along the line I lost the ability to suspend disbelief for most films.

Whenever I watch a film, I now see a highly paid actor, whose leftist political beliefs are usually well publicized, sporting strategically coiffed hair, obvious makeup, and carefully selected clothing. I don't see the character portrayed.

I couldn't care less how a sneering leftist actor fleshes out a sneering leftist screenwriter's fantasies.

To hell with them and their industry.

Ive got a feeling that with the rapid improvement in technology, the era of the highly paid actor is ending. CG animations are ever improving as computing power increases. The next thing will be reviving long dead actors in new roles.

Have you seen the newest voice manufacturing application from Adobe? Watch this to get a look at the way around prima donna actors. Couple this with animations, and the need to go on location diminishes. The next big Hollywood star may be a computer nerd in some studio in the middle of anywhere.
