The irony of the whole thing is Alonso has been complaining about his F1 McLaren Honda power unit’s poor reliability and low power all season, affording him the opportunity to skip Monaco for the Indy 500, and it was another Honda engine that let him down there, too.
Honda really does have a lot of work to do in both Indy and F1 powerplant reliability.
